A Japanese ?Action Comic Entertainment Band? called Peelander-Z will stop in Memphis and Nashville to promote their new album P-POP-HIGH SCHOOL - out on April 14. ?The Road to 2010: Tennessee Hosts the Southeast and Japan?
His Excellency Ichiro Fujisaki, Ambassador Extroadinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the U.S. will speak at The Japan-America Society of Tennessee's Annual Membership Meeting and Reception on Friday, May 8th, at the Waller, Lansden, Dortch & Davis Conference Center, on the 27th Floor of the Nashville City Center, 511 Union Street.

This event is free to JAST corporate and individual members; a fee of $50 will apply to non-members. Reservations are requested prior to May 1st.

Joining Goveror Phil Bredesen and JAST members to welcome Ambassador Fujisaki will be special guest Consul General Hiroshi Sato of the Consulate General of Japan in Nashville. Additional program details are forthcoming.

Sunday, October 18 through Tuesday October 20 - Tokyo
33rd Annual Meeting of the Southeast U.S./Japan and the Japan-U.S. Southeast Associations
Governor Phil Bredesen will lead Tennessee's delegation to join counterparts from seven other Southeast member states and business executives and government officials from Japan. The Imperial Hotel Tokyo will be the site of discussions ranging from investment, trade, tourism and corporate opportunities.
