On behalf of the great State of Tennessee, I want to welcome you to the Japan America Society of Tennessee website. I hope this site will provide a deeper understanding of the unique partnership that exists between Japan and Tennessee.

For more than 20 years, our state has enjoyed a warm and productive relationship with Japan. As business partners and as friends, Tennessee’s connection to Japan has proven to be mutually beneficial time and time again. We continue to experience the great good that enduring partnerships and cooperation are building for future generations. The Japan America Society of Tennessee celebrates with pride and confidence the present and the future of our strong relationships.

From East to West Tennessee, Japanese-owned companies are discovering a highly-skilled workforce and bright business climate. We are extremely proud that 151 Japanese-owned companies call Tennessee home, employ more than 38,000 Tennesseans, and account for cumulative capital investments of more than $9 billion.
